Tiffany Crocus

This is Tiffany's Crocus lamp built using an Odyssey mold and pattern. The flowers and top and bottom rims are cut from Uroboros glass, while the the background and stems are cut from Youghiogheny glass. Both types of glass are of the mottled (cats paw), variety. The lamp base was purchased at auction and it is an original " New Juno ", ca 1896, oil lamp which I converted to electric. It also has a very unusual style stand that rests on three lion paw legs. The shade measures 14" in diameter and the base is about 24" in height to the top of the glass hurricane insert.
